EDGE. Buckeyes . Chase Young. 2. player. 812.

Similar to the Bengals, the Washington Redskins don’t need to overthink this selection. They’re in exactly the same situation as the 49ers last year where the best prospect in the draft (coincidentally also an Ohio State EDGE) falls into their lap because the team picking No. 1 is going for a quarterback.

Is EDGE Chase Young a better prospect coming out of the Buckeyes than Niners EDGE Nick Bosa? I think it’s almost tied. Young will definitely have an impact on Washington as Bosa did for San Francisco.

Young is the top prospect in the draft, plain and simple. He’s versatile (but will be a lot stronger in a 4-3 defensive base rather than as a linebacker in a 3-4) and has all the moves and athletic ability Bosa also had coming out of Ohio State.

Young is a freak of nature as an athlete and will turn heads from Week 1. He’s going to be a lot of fun to watch in the league.
