Quinton Jefferson left, so the Seattle Seahawks have a hole at defensive tackle. If the team wants to challenge the 49ers and get back on top of the tough NFC West, beefing up the trenches via the NFL Draft against the Niners’ tough run game is a must.

TCU defensive tackle Ross Blacklock has improved his draft stock to the first-round range, and he makes sense here as the guy to help rebuild Seattle’s defense.

Blacklock is a great value option for a team picking late in the first round. He’s athletically very gifted with a nice size and very good athleticism for his frame.

Where Blacklock is really good is his wicked first step, which combined with his strength can allow him to go through offensive lines. He doesn’t have the best resume as an interior presence (5.5 career sacks at TCU) but he can be a stout defender against the run and still get some good pressure on the QB even if he doesn’t rack up the stats.
