There have been heavy rumors of a trade brewing between the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles, which makes a lot of sense.

The Browns love a particular prospect (more on that later) who would be way too early to pick here, while the Eagles are in love with Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb who has no chance of falling to them.

Lamb is a brilliant prospect and the second-best receiver for me by only a hair (and others have him as the top receiver). He would be an instant upgrade in the receiving corps for Philadelphia, and there’s bound to be a lot of 49ers fans who would be vexed if the Eagles swooped in and nabbed him.

Lamb is such a big talent. He has amazing hands and is a great route runner, and he’s going to be a playmaker for whoever takes him.

Has he got elite speed? No. Does he play in a manner which means that doesn’t matter? Yes.
