Cardinals . Mekhi Becton. 9. player. 849. . Tackle

I guess it’s too early technically to call tackle offensive tackle Cam Robinson a bust, but it isn’t too early to say the Jacksonville Jaguars should look elsewhere to have someone on the blindside.

Louisville tackle Mekhi Becton wowed everybody as a huge, fast tackle in the combine. He is raw and needs to upgrade his pass protection, but he has the highest ceiling of any tackle in the NFL Draft.

Becton is a pretty big unit at 6-foot-7 and 364 pounds, but he is insanely quick and smooth for a man his size. He does have some issues with consistency, but the truth is his ceiling is absolutely huge.

Becton’s advantage is his power and reach. He’s sometimes prone to missing, but when he grabs hold of his assignment, it’s game over. His technique is a bit wild and unorthodox, but it’s effective when it works.

Becton has a drug test failure as a potential red flag, but reports suggest that he won’t have his NFL Draft stock hurt because of it.
