Although John Lynch and Co. tend to like taller, longer-limbed cornerbacks, Georgia Southern’s Kindle Vildor acquitted himself well at the NFL Scouting Combine, running a 4.44 40-yard time, and pushing up 225 pounds 22 times.

Although undersized at 5-foot-11, he can play in man-cover defenses and challenges his contests well.

During his final three collegiate seasons, Vildor totaled 94 tackles, nine interceptions and a whopping 25 pass breakups for the Eagles. And while some may question the level of competition he faced, he proved up for the challenge in games against LSU and Minnesota. He balances athletic prowess with good recognition skills and ball-tracking ability.

While his lack of size may have him fall a bit to the latter rounds, Vildor can provide the 49ers with a potential late-round steal with starter potential in the near future.
