Wide Receiver. Gators . Van Jefferson. 156. player. 840.

Florida wide receiver Van Jefferson is a skilled 6-foot-1 route runner with good size and hands. Being the son of a 13-year veteran receiver, Shawn Jefferson, has benefitted Van Jefferson by giving him a very good feel for the game.

He has good body control and is able to make adjustments to the ball in the air. His precise route running helps him to gain separation, and his football IQ allows him to find holes in a defense. He falls to the Niners after an injury setback (Jones fracture), but by all reports, he should be healthy and ready to go by training camp.

With the Niners’ own wide receivers, Trent Taylor and Jalen Hurd, having missed the 2019 season with injuries, and with the loss of Emmanuel Sanders in free agency to the New Orleans Saints, the team will likely be looking to bring in a wideout to pair with last year’s rookie sensation, Deebo Samuel, in the passing game.

And if one comes in the late rounds, Jefferson should be the target.
