With their third pick in Round 1 of the NFL Draft, the Dolphins should continue sticking to their goal of giving everything necessary for Tua Tagovailoa to thrive for seasons to come.

They’ve already landed their running back of the future in D’Andre Swift. With the pick acquired from the Houston Texans in the trade for offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil, Miami can look to get a mover of an offensive tackle, USC’s Austin Jackson.

Tagovailoa’s mobility and elusiveness are skills the Dolphins need to consider when targeting linemen, and Jackson checks off those boxes in the long term.

Considering Jackson is still young and needs to add some functional strength, it might not be right away to see him start in Miami. Yet he could easily transition into a full-time blindside protector for Tagovailoa, as well as a strong lane opener for Swift for years to come.

With this pick, the Dolphins look to have one of the best NFL Draft classes right out of the gate.
