Jerry Jeudy. 11. player. 829. . Wide Receiver. Crimson Tide

The New York Jets managed to sign former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Breshad Perriman in free agency, which is a nice addition. But any thoughts Perriman should be a true No. 1 target for still-developing quarterback Sam Darnold need to be put to rest, as the Jets desperately need an A-grade wideout at Darnold’s disposal.

Thankfully, this year’s NFL Draft class is laden with top receiving prospects, and some of the early ones to go in 2020 could be the pinnacle playmakers of this generation.

While there are some great names early, perhaps the best wide receiver in this year’s draft is Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy, who did far more than just make a name for himself the last two seasons with the Crimson Tide.

Jeudy’s route-running skills are already elite, and he’s a lethal yards-after-the-catch threat once he gets into space.

New York needs this kind of presence to get head coach Adam Gase’s offense back to any level of respectability moving forward.
