While COVID-19 hasn’t been fun, San Francisco 49ers fans can play along with Niner Noise and envision scenarios of being quarantined with these five players and coaches.

Coronavirus quarantines would be a lot more fun if your favorite San Francisco 49ers were right there with you, correct?

Of course, they’d be!

OK, so this is a serious measure at hand. For much of the nation, going outside the home has been limited to merely the essentials, and social gatherings are no longer a thing for the immediate and unknown future.

Including seeing all your Niners family on a Sunday afternoon at Levi’s Stadium.

Instead, why not have a little fun with all our shelter-in-place directives and recommendations, envisioning who would be the best 49ers players and coaches you’d want to be stuck inside with for a long, long time?

Here are five players and coaches who could keep you entertained for a while.

No. 5: Head Coach Kyle Shanahan

For the football purists, spending some time with head coach Kyle Shanahan would give your brain all it could ever need in regards to understanding the Xs and Os of a genius offensive system.

Many sites, including Niner Noise, have put together reactive pieces breaking down the complexity and ingenuity of Shanahan’s offense, looking at the misdirections, bootlegs, concepts and play calls that comprise one of the most unique and hard-to-defend-against offenses in the league today.

Now, imagine having the head coach right there to explain it all to you.

Give Shanahan a whiteboard and a few hours of your time, and pretty soon you’ll be understanding the surface level of schemes the head coach will operate. It’s like those MasterClass courses where you learn from top chefs, actors and actresses, musicians and the like.

Only this one is in person and with a pure offensive genius.

And once you’re done with your lesson, Shanahan might be willing enough to entertain you with a game of Madden, which he has been known to do.
