No. 5: Trade up

One of the biggest changes to the script now for San Francisco is that the team now has the proper ammunition to move up with two picks in the first round.

Derrick Brown and Jeffrey Okudah have been mentioned before, and both make sense as prospects who should (keyword is should) be gone by the time San Francisco picks.

As mentioned before, Brown could be mooted as a replacement for DeForest Buckner. Meanwhile Okudah could be the heir apparent to cornerback Richard Sherman.

But they aren’t the only prospects who could appeal to San Francisco.

Clemson’s Isaiah Simmons is a prospect who can play linebacker or safety, and is arguably the best prospect at either position who has the versatility to appeal to the 49ers.

And of course, you can’t look past the deep tackle class this year either.

No matter what trading up could very well be in the 49ers plans now, and is one of several options now available for the 49ers on draft day.
