No. 1: D’Andre Swift, Georgia Bulldogs

Whether or not you prefer D’Andre Swift or Jonathan Taylor, there’s not much separating these two as the top running backs in the class while there is a lot separating them from the rest of the class.

The most complete running back in the NFL, there isn’t much weakness to Swift and his array of talent.

Swift is swift (had to write that), agile, strong and has elite vision. He’s a decent receiver out of the backfield and looks like a three-down starter off the bat who can contribute right away.

Swift would need an almighty fall to get to the 49ers pick. But if the improbable does happen, it has to be asked if Shanahan shouldn’t break from his normal ways and go early on a talented running back in the draft.
