Now we get to the big two names in the running back class. For the 49ers to have a shot at getting them would require a large fall here, and the sheer value alone may be too much to pass up depending on who’s available.

And if Jonathan Taylor is available, the Niners need to think long and hard about selecting him.

Taylor has had a phenomenal season and combine to rocket his draft stock up. He had a big 2019 season and absolutely blitzed the combine and improved his draft stock to the point some would consider him the clear top back in the class.

He certainly would need a big fall for the 49ers to be able to pick him.

Taylor has elite potential for the NFL. He’s a supreme blend of strength, speed, vision and athleticism. He could go anywhere in the back half of the first round, or even possibly in the top 15 depending on if a team falls in love with him.
