The San Francisco 49ers have limited options early in the NFL Draft, although some strong performances during the 2020 NFL Combine could influence general manager John Lynch’s decisions.

There’s going to be a lot on the table for San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch during the 2020 NFL Draft this April.

Unlike the last few years, the Niners aren’t selecting towards the top of the draft order after coming up just short in Super Bowl LIV. At No. 31 overall now, Lynch and Co. will either hope some mid-round talent slips towards the end of Round 1.

Or, considering that’s currently the lone pick San Francisco has before selecting in Round 5, there’s the possibility Lynch decides to trade out of that spot.

Lynch and the 49ers scouting department received a plethora of additional information during the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis over the weekend, certainly affecting how the team’s big board is coming together in advance of the draft itself. While a number of players surely performed well enough to push themselves out of San Francisco’s reach, others may have convinced the Niners staying put at No. 31 would be a good idea.

And there are likely those who will entice Lynch to trade down into Rounds 2, 3 or 4 with the knowledge they won’t slip into the fifth round any longer.

With the NFL Combine now wrapping up, which prospects saw their draft stocks rise in the eyes of San Francisco.

Niner Noise breaks down five players who came away from the combine having impressed the 49ers to the point where they should be considered higher priorities when the 2020 NFL Draft rolls around this April.
