No. 6: Kyle Shanahan will avenge his Super Bowl defeat

It all comes down to this. Can the 49ers beat the Chiefs and cap a remarkable turnaround system? Which coach can avenge their Super Bowl defeat.

I’ve backed him this far and I won’t stop now. Kyle Shanahan will be the one that has the Super Bowl ring.

The offense is perfect for both exploiting the Chiefs defense as well as keeping Patrick Mahomes off the field. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is an amazing offensive head coach, but even he hasn’t had the stellar year of playcalling that Shanahan has had.

Something about this team feels perfectly balanced. It can beat you through the air, on the ground or with defense. If something works, Shanahan will relentlessly exploit everything there is to exploit from it.

If something doesn’t work, Shanahan always finds a way to keep in the game.

Shanahan has the right attitude, he showed it all season and he showed it recently when he told his players to check their egos at the door when they made the Super Bowl.

This is a humble football team (unless you’re Richard Sherman), that knows its legacy is defined by what it does on the field and not what it says off it.

49ers should attack this key Chiefs weakness in Super Bowl 54. dark. Next

Despite Reid’s reputation as an excellent coach when he has time to prepare, Shanahan is every bit his equal and has the talent to exploit the Chiefs weaknesses.

Niners to win this by a score of 34-30.
