The San Francisco 49ers pulled off a dominant 37-20 win in the 2020 NFC Championship game over the Green Bay Packers, and Niner Noise breaks down five key takeaways from the contest.

The San Francisco 49ers are heading to Super Bowl LIV after completely dominating the Green Bay Packers 37-20 in the 2020 NFC Championship game. The final score makes the game sound closer than it actually was.

Entering halftime, the Niners already held a commanding 27-0 lead, essentially being able to put the second half into cruise control en route to representing the conference in the Super Bowl against the AFC champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.

This was the second time the 49ers defeated the Packers this season, the first time being a 37-8 beatdown back in Week 12.

And while quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ numbers in the NFC Championship game looked much better than his efforts in the regular season, there weren’t exactly a ton of moments where the future Hall of Famer looked like he was going to be able to helm his team past San Francisco.

That’s one key takeaway from this contest: The Niners are notably better than Green Bay in nearly every facet.

Yet there’s more, too, which bode well for head coach Kyle Shanahan and Co. in their journey to reach a sixth Lombardi Trophy.
