After a long season, the San Francisco 49ers found themselves up against their long-time rivals the Green Bay Packers for the right to go to the Super Bowl. The Niners ultimately won the contest by a score of 37-20, so Niner Noise takes a look at three reasons they won the game.


Savor the moment: The San Francisco 49ers are the NFC Champions for the 2019 season. They have earned the right to represent the NFC in Super Bowl LIV, and will face off against the AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs in Miami on February 2.

But before we move onto coverage of the final game of the 2019 NFL season, let’s take another opportunity to look at the NFC Championship Game, which the 49ers won in decisive fashion over the Green Bay Packers, 37-2.

It was a score that makes the game look even closer than it actually was.

A lot of things went right for the 49ers, and while Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers pulled out some of his trademark magic in order to make the second half a little more tense than the first, the Niners were essentially in control from the opening kickoff.

Because of that, they are Miami bound, less than a year after holding the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft. The turnaround is quite impressive and almost hard to believe.

What follows are three of the elements that the 49ers used in order to control the game and send the Packers packing back to Green Bay.
