1. Davante Adams

When the 49ers and Packers met in Week 12, wide receiver Davante Adams had seven catches for 43 yards and one touchdown. Cornerback Emmanuel Moseley started his last game before fellow cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon returned to the lineup after injury the following week.

Moseley finished the game with five tackles.

Adams had returned to action on Nov. 3, 2019 after missing over a month due to a turf toe injury. Week 12 was only his third game back, and as such, he wasn’t at his best. This Sunday, with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line, will be a much different story.

San Francisco will have to do their best to contain the All-Pro receiver as Rodgers will be looking his way early and often.

It stands to reason that Moseley will be tasked with covering Adams, as Witherspoon had his chance to impress last week against the Minnesota Vikings. He was summarily benched after giving up a touchdown to Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

It was a throw that most believe he should have been able to make a play on.

Adams can be expected to be looking to become a game-changer in this contest, and it will be up to the 49ers’ No. 1 ranked pass defense to stop him from doing so.
