No. 4: Wide Receiver Kendrick Bourne

Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has probably received a little more recognition than many of the other potential players on this list. But outside of 49ers circles, few would recognize his name.

After six red-zone touchdowns on the year, including one in the win over the Vikings, perhaps it’s time the rest of the league took some notice of the former undrafted free agent.

Early in 2019, the Niners were having some issues generating production from their wide receiver corps. Following the trade for the veteran, Emmanuel Sanders, along with the ongoing development of the rookie, Deebo Samuel, Bourne was easily overshadowed by San Francisco’s top-two weapons on the outside.

Except when things got tighter down in the red zone, though.

Bourne had just 358 receiving yards on the season, which ranked well behind both Sanders and Samuel’s totals with the 49ers. But Bourne had more receiving touchdowns than either player, showing the ability to find pay dirt when it counted most.
