No. 2: EDGE Nick Bosa

Speaking of the pass rush, the San Francisco 49ers were back to their early season dominant form on Saturday. A big reason why was the return of EDGE Dee Ford, who was able to come back from both quad and hamstring injuries.

His presence completed the performance by the standout defensive line, which saw sacks from all five of its first-round NFL Draft picks, including Ford and defensive tackles DeForest Buckner, Arik Armstead, and Solomon Thomas.

EDGE Nick Bosa had himself a game, erasing any doubt that he was tiring towards the end of 2019.

And it’s hard to find a place to start.

Bosa finished the day with six tackles, two sacks, and three quarterback hits. He even broke up a pass in coverage. His second sack of the game, which was in the fourth quarter and on third down, was a back-breaker for the Vikings’ dimming chances of a comeback:

Not a bad playoff debut for the 49ers’ top pick from this past offseason’s NFL Draft.
