No. 5: Cornerback Emmanuel Moseley

Cornerback Richard Sherman gets an honorary mention on this list, thanks to his interception off Kirk Cousins in the second half.

But one could make the argument the more impressive performance was from fellow corner Emmanuel Moseley, who suddenly found himself thrust in with the first-team defense after the starter, Ahkello Witherspoon, allowed a touchdown to Stefon Diggs.

Moseley was in that position all week in preparation, after Witherspoon was determined to be a starter. Yet coming in for such a key situation is nevertheless impressive. It can be hard for players to stay sharp while wondering when, if at all, they’ll get the chance to see significant game time.

So, how did Moseley respond?

Well, he responded by recording five tackles and breaking up two passes, showing all the swagger and confidence Sherman displayed during the game.

It’s going to be hard for the San Francisco 49ers to put Moseley back on the bench for the rest of the postseason after such a significant performance.
