No. 5: The 49ers will play in the NFC Championship against Seattle

In this bold prediction, which is in fact two bold predictions for the price of one, let’s look at the 49ers-Vikings first.

Call it bias, but I believe the 49ers have the better coach, quarterback, tight end, offensive line, and defense. Combined with being at home, I can’t help but to expect the 49ers to win.

I’d be nervous, of course, but I see something like a 28-24 victory happening.

It’ll be close, because of course it’ll be close.

Moving over to the other matchup in the NFC, I think the Seattle Seahawks will continue to be road warriors and upset the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

Which sets up the tantalizing rubber match: 49ers-Seahawks III: The Bout to Knock the Other Team Out.

The 49ers and Seahawks had an instant classic in Seattle in an NFC Championship before. It seems almost too good to be true for the next encounter to be in our neck of the woods.

The San Francisco 49ers to win, and the Seahawks to win, too. All to set up an all-NFC West showdown to get to the Super Bowl.
