The San Francisco 49ers put on exclamation mark on their 2019 season with an exciting division-sealing victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Now it’s time to hand out some hardware to some well-deserving members of the team.

You could say this 2019 group was the most complete San Francisco 49ers team in recent memory, maybe even ever. They finished the season with a 13-3 record and won not only the NFC West crown, but home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

But before we focus on the road to Super Bowl LIV, we have to take a moment to pause and reflect on one of the most successful seasons in franchise history by giving out some awards.

The Niners put up the third most points in franchise history with 479. It’s even more impressive when you look at the teams who put up more. In 1994, the 49ers, led by quarterback Steve Young, scored 505 points in a 28-team league, while the 1948 team, which wasn’t even in the NFL yet, amassed 495 in an eight-team league.

The 2019 edition of the San Francisco 49ers had a lot of contributors to their success. Some were obvious, like quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and tight end George Kittle, while others were pleasant surprises, like rookie wide receiver Deebo Samuel and offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill. Cornerback Richard Sherman bet on himself and it paid off, literally. Rookie defensive lineman Nick Bosa proved he was the best pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

And despite having a full injury list, defensive coordinator Robert Saleh still got the most out his players.

We’ll look at the teams Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. These are based on a combination of stats and observations throughout the 2019 season. Also included will be an honorable mention in each category.
