Solomon Kindley. 3. player. 814. . Guard. Bulldogs

Pros:

  • Plug and play potential, can start Week 1
  • Frame is ready for the professional level
  • Powerful in pass protection
  • Ferocious blocker who clears paths for his running backs
  • Surprisingly athletic for a big (6-foot-4, 335 pounds) frame

Cons:

  • May need to lose some weight to be at peak size for the NFL

A powerful, mauling blocker, Solomon Kindley is another guard who projects as a good fit for the 49ers. Incredibly powerful and aggressive, Kindley may be the best guard in the entire draft class.

Aggression, athleticism, power and a straight up mean streak wrapped up in a 6-foot-4 and 335 pound frame, Kindley has had a great season and is making a name for himself quickly.

Adept in any form of blocking, Kindley has a surprising amount of athleticism for his size. A 335-pound guard who can also pull is a rare breed, and he has the tools to do that.

The only question is if his frame is slightly overfilled for the NFL. Teams may want him to lose weight, but that’s the only real flaw for an otherwise impressive player.

Draft range: First round

Kindley looks a sure pick on Thursday night, and the only question is if his stock will continue to rise so high that he may not even make it to the 49ers at all.
