The San Francisco 49ers 2020 NFL Draft board is going to be very provocative, and Niner Noise breaks down what could be a Round 1 big board amid the kickoff of college football’s bowl week.

For the San Francisco 49ers, it sure is refreshing not to have to focus only on the NFL Draft as a high point this late in the season for a change.

The 49ers are currently 11-3 and are eyeing a potential No. 1 overall seed in the conference, a deep playoff push after clinching a berth and, hopefully, a win in Super Bowl LIV. The focus is much more on those challenges instead of looking at the draft.

That being said, the draft sits still for no team. San Francisco is still in the process of forming its draft board along with the other 31 NFL teams.

As opposed to last season, however, the Niners’ first pick isn’t limited to only the top prospects. Instead the 49ers are certain to pick in the latter half of the first round, depending on a very possible trade down, and so the draft board for the first pick is significantly more open.

Creating a draft board of 20 prospects is no easy feat, but nonetheless it’s been an interesting journey to form a list of prospects and then rank it, considering San Francisco is short on needs.

To make it a little easier, this list does assume the 49ers can trade down. San Francisco has done its share of wheeling and dealing, so general manager John Lynch and Co. are very short of picks for the 2020 draft.

A trade down is very possible, so don’t be surprised if the Niners go that route.

Here are the top 20 prospects on San Francisco’s big board for the 2020 NFL Draft.
