The San Francisco 49ers have endured an up-and-down decade between 2010 and 2019, and Niner Noise ranks out the 15 most infamous moments during that span.

The first half of the 2010 decade was pretty tremendous for the San Francisco 49ers, as they were able to ride a dominant defense en route to three consecutive NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl berth during that stretch.

And with the Niners one of the league’s dominant teams in 2019, it looks as if the franchise will finish the decade on a high note, too.

That said, there have also been more than a few awful moments and memories from the decade as well.

San Francisco underwent plenty of turmoil, including a disjointed start to the decade back in 2010. Things got weird again when then-head coach Jim Harbaugh and the 49ers “mutually” parted ways, sending the Niners into a multiyear stretch of laughingstock status.

There were gut-wrenching plays, of which the 49ers were on the wrong side, sudden retirements, crucial injuries and plenty of other elements and aspects Niners fans probably would rather forget.

Or at least be thankful they’re in the past.

With the decade coming to a close, San Francisco and its fans can look back at a mixed bag of results. While there were plenty of positives and exciting moments, there are equally as many ugly times, heartbreak and headaches.

Niner Noise takes a look at the latter in this case, breaking down the 15 most infamous moments the 49ers and their fans had to endure over the 2010 decade, hoping fully well these kinds of memories don’t replicate themselves at any point too soon here in the future.
