49ers kicker Robbie Gould returned from a four-game absence due to quad injury and it couldn’t have come at a better time. In the final seconds of this thrilling game, Gould nailed a 30-yard field goal to seal the deal for the Niners in New Orleans.
Coincidentally, the two games the 49ers lost so far this season were decided by the difference of a field goal. There are no guarantees in football, and we cannot say for sure if Gould had played against Seattle and the Baltimore Ravens, the 49ers would have won those games.
