No. 5: Injuries persist

Injuries are still an issue for the 49ers.

In every game so far this season, there has been at least one top-tier player out or missing on the field. Multiple high-octane players are typically ruled out for every single match, yet the team keeps fighting and winning on a wing and a prayer.

After a never-ending deluge of injuries last year, the strength and conditioning staff saw a massive overhaul this year. While there have been far fewer injuries going into games and more players walking off in one piece after games, the problem persists. Something needs to change.

It’s a good thing there is more depth on the team this year than last, because even though the Niners walked away with a victory, it was more like a limping away given the losses.

Per the NFL, the 49ers suffered the following injuries at critical positions:

Not all of these are conditioning issues, but for whatever reason the 49ers have a hard time staying healthy. Given the massive success the team has had and the pending date with top-seeded playoff teams right around the corner, the Niners need all hands, hammies and ankles on deck.
