Winner: Running Back Raheem Mostert

Make no mistake, running back Raheem Mostert is climbing the 49ers depth chart.

Mostert was again San Francisco’s leading rusher after an incredible Week 13 performance in Baltimore, this time ripping off 109 all-purpose yards and two net touchdowns. There was his wide-open catch for a score off the hand of Emmanuel Sanders.

Then Mostert found the end zone again in the waning seconds of the second quarter:

For years just a special teams ace, Mostert has worked his way into the quality rotation of fellow tailbacks Matt Breida and Tevin Coleman, arguably taking away some crucial carries from the latter, as Coleman had just three touches in the game.

Simply put, San Francisco’s offense is benefiting from Mostert being a primary featured weapon.
