Game Ball No. 2: Defensive Coordinator Robert Saleh

Last week, the entire coaching staff was awarded a game ball following the 37-8 rout of the Green Bay Packers. This total domination seemed to follow the defensive blueprint that had been laid out in the adjusting without EDGE Dee Ford article.

Leading up to the contest against the Ravens, Niner Noise examined some key takeaways from the Ravens versus Rams game which would help the 49ers prepare for the matchup, and it seems as though defensive coordinator Robert Saleh read that article as well.

Saleh was able to coach his unit to contain Lamar Jackson and the Ravens’ lethal rushing attack and make key stops on multiple drives.

Saleh, who entered the season on the proverbial hot seat, continues to rise through the ranks as one of the hottest head-coaching candidates.

And If he keeps reading Niner Noise, he may get his shot as a head coach sooner rather than later.
