The San Francisco 49ers lost a tough-fought road bout to the Baltimore Ravens 20-17 in Week 13, and Niner Noise takes a look at the team’s biggest winners and losers from the matchup.

The San Francisco 49ers had plenty of chances to pull off a road upset against the surging Baltimore Ravens in Week 13, but ultimately fell short and lost 20-17 after a game-winning field goal by Ravens kicker Justin Tucker with time expiring.

Now at 10-2, the Niners have to be concerned with how the rest of the NFC playoff picture shapes up. Both the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints, hot on the tails of San Francisco in the conference standings, won in Week 13. And the Seattle Seahawks, who host the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football, could unseat the 49ers in the NFC West division with a win to close out the week.

Ultimately, San Francisco is a loser from this contest. There’s no getting around that. But considering the Ravens were averaging 43 points scored a game over their last four contests, one has to think the Niners took to the road amid terrible conditions at M&T Bank Stadium and stood punch for punch with another legitimate Super Bowl contender.

So, maybe, that’s a win.

There were plenty of great performances from the 49ers’ side in this contest, as well as some head scratchers and less-than-desirable efforts. Some were the direct result of play calling, while others were a total lack of execution.

Both individually and as units.

Niner Noise takes a look at the game’s biggest winners and losers from this clash, breaking down who stood out for both the right and wrong reasons.
