San Francisco 49ers: Predicting 5 players who make 2020 Pro Bowl
By Peter Panacy
No. 5: Fullback Kyle Juszczyk
Kyle Juszczyk gets a nod here almost exclusively by default. With the majority of the NFL shifting to offensive roster construction without a fullback, there are hardly any names worth tossing into the mix to occupy the position.
And this has been made evident by the fact Juszczyk has been sent to the Pro Bowl in each of the last three seasons.
Arguably the only competition for this spot in the NFC is the Green Bay Packers’ Dan Vitale. But considering just how much Juszczyk does in head coach Kyle Shanahan’s offense, plus putting up what would be considered moderate offensive numbers at a number of other positions, it’s hard to see anything changing for Juszczyk this season.
If there’s anything working against the 28 year old, it’s the fact Juszczyk missed four games already this season with an MCL sprain.
Don’t look at that to be a major factor, though. Juszczyk should get in easily.
