team. 28. . 5-4, 2nd in AFC West. Previous: . Las Vegas Raiders. 11

W, 26-24 vs. Chargers

This is not a drill: The Raiders are just half a game behind the Chiefs in the AFC West. Repeat, this is not a drill.

It’s crazy to think Oakland would be in this position so late in 2019, and head coach Jon Gruden’s squad gets a nice little NFL power rankings boost after knocking off the Chargers, who are still on both teams’ collective tail, on Thursday Night Football.

The Chargers will have their chance to get revenge on the Raiders in Week 16, which could play a crucial role in Oakland’s playoff hopes. And keep an eye on that Week 13 bout against the Chiefs, too, which could ultimately determine who winds up winning the AFC West.

Meanwhile, look for the Raiders to continue their recent hot streak against bad teams, the Bengals and Jets, in Weeks 11 and 12, respectively.
