L, 24-16 @ Packers

The Panthers couldn’t take advantage of the Saints’ loss to the Falcons, which massively thwarts head coach Ron Rivera’s chances of staging a comeback in the not-so-hot NFC South.

Following Carolina’s road loss to the Packers, the Panthers remain three games behind New Orleans in the division. The Panthers still get to play the Saints twice, though, so those two contests could have a say in just how the division goes this season.

But it’s likely Carolina will have to get into the playoffs by the way of a Wild Card, meaning Rivera and Co. will be paying attention to teams like the Rams, Seahawks, Vikings and 49ers down the stretch.

Speaking of the Seahawks, the Panthers will host Seattle in Week 15, which could also be a vital Wild Card-determining bout.
