No. 4: Nick Bosa vs. Duane Brown

As usual, the Seahawks do not have a good offensive line. That should come to no surprise, as the Seahawks have enjoyed very leaky offensive line play for a long time.

Obviously, this doesn’t faze Russell Wilson. There may not be a player better in the history of the NFL at escaping pressure and extending plays.

So even if players like defensive linemen DeForest Buckner, Arik Armstead and Dee Ford overwhelm the Seahawks offensive line, we may just see Wilson do what he normally does.

If the 49ers are to truly overwhelm Wilson and his MVP-caliber performances, they need to overwhelm the blindside where he cannot see the pressure.

For EDGE Nick Bosa, he has a favorable matchup over tackle Duane Brown, who has not been the player he was, previously, with the Houston Texans. Bosa didn’t light up the field against the Cardinals like he did against the Carolina Panthers, but he still had an impact on the defense.

If the 49ers want to stop Wilson, Bosa is the key to making that happen.
