The San Francisco 49ers host the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10, as they look to simultaneously continue their undefeated record and get a stranglehold on the NFC West. Here are five matchups the Niners must win to continue their streaks.

After a short week to prepare against the Arizona Cardinals and holding onto the win, the San Francisco 49ers now get the long week to prepare against their nemesis in the Seattle Seahawks for Week 10.

If the Niners win, they will be 9-0 to the Seahawks’ 7-3, and will have a real stranglehold on the NFC West and therefore an all-but guaranteed playoff spot.

Unfortunately, just as the 49ers began to welcome back their starters back from injury, they lost a very integral part of the defense when they lost linebacker Kwon Alexander for the season.

That’s only one part of the field, though. The Niners have a lot of essential matchups they have to win to make sure they get the victory over a dangerous rival.

While San Francisco has the edge over the Seahawks overall in talent, as Niner Noise detailed here, the Seahawks are 7-2 for a reason.

The Seahawks are especially good at closing out tight games, thanks to their MVP candidate, quarterback Russell Wilson. While the 49ers have been good so far in closing out tight games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals, the Seahawks season has been defined by their close victories.

As a divisional rival, the Seahawks will be coming out ready and swinging on Monday Night Football, and here are five matchups the Niners must win to keep their undefeated season alive.
