Cornerback. Crimson Tide . Trevon Diggs. 20. player. 829.

The Jaguars elected to send off disgruntled cornerback Jalen Ramsey to the Los Angeles Rams, which potentially solves a long-term contractual problem, yet leaves a glaring hole at an important position wide open.

So far, there’s been a number of runs on cornerbacks in Round 1 of the NFL Draft in this mock, meaning the Jags turn in the pick acquired from Los Angeles into a young corner to develop, Alabama’s Trevon Diggs.

Diggs, 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, looks the part of a boundary defensive back. He’s more than physical, never afraid to attack the ball at the point of the catch, even if it can cost him in missed tackles and excessive penalties.

But that’s what the Jaguars defense has thrived off of in recent years, which makes him a solid choice at No. 20.
