The Los Angeles Chargers find themselves in somewhat of a precarious position at No. 10 overall in Round 1.

They need a quarterback, someone to eventually replace the aging veteran, Philip Rivers. Offensive line is a big-time need, too. But at this spot in the draft, the top names are gone, and the next ones on the list at both spots would constitute quite the reach.

If the Chargers don’t trade down here, a wise move would be to upgrade their defense.

Finding someone who fits the mold head coach Vance Joseph wants to build would be smart, particularly at cornerback, which is another need.

Ohio State corner Jeffrey Okudah, who stands at 6-foot-1, would be a nice pickup, rounding out a defense boasting a solid pass rush up front with excellent playmakers at safety.

That might be the best formula for Los Angeles to get back to offsetting the Kansas City Chiefs.
