No. 3: Tight End George Kittle

There was some concern Pro Bowl tight end George Kittle could miss Week 6 with a groin injury, which he suffered during Friday practice.

But Kittle suited up, and he sure made a difference.

Kittle enjoyed his first 100-yard game of the season, which is great for the stat sheet. Yet the stats don’t tell the entire story. For starters, amid a banged up 49ers offensive line, Kittle was fantastic in both run and pass blocking. Those efforts won’t show up in the box score.

And Kittle’s ongoing yards-after-the-catch domination continued in the game, too, as shown during this impressive 46-yard pickup:

Kittle led all Niners pass catchers with eight grabs for 103 yards. And while he didn’t find the end zone, he was more than reliable a weapon for Jimmy Garoppolo and the offense.

The tight end surely showed up in Week 6.
