The San Francisco 49ers went into Los Angeles and defensively dominated the Rams in Week 6, meaning there were some notable standout performances during this NFC West bout.

The San Francisco 49ers are still undefeated. This, after they knocked off their NFC West division rivals, the Los Angeles Rams, 20-7 in Week 6 in a game which the score doesn’t tell just how dominant head coach Kyle Shanahan’s squad was.

The Niners held the Rams to 157 total yards in the game, while also keeping Los Angeles to a combined 0-of-13 on third- and fourth-down tries, too. Rams quarterback Jared Goff passed for only 78 yards — a career low — and L.A. was held to just the seven points off its first possession.

After that, the action went almost entirely San Francisco’s way.

While the 49ers defense stole the show and was overly dominant during the action, there were some offensive standouts, too.

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was effective enough, although he was responsible for two turnovers — one interception, as well as a fumble, which was lost. If there weren’t a few offensive miscues for Shanahan and Co., the Niners could have won this contest by a score of 30-7. Perhaps more.

Regardless, there were plenty of standouts from San Francisco on both sides of the ball. That’s typically the result when a road team, playing on a short week, takes to the road and knocks off the defending NFC champions, which was the case on Sunday.

Here are the 49ers’ top five performances from their key win over the Rams in Week 6.
