No. 2: The 49ers Defensive Line
The second reason the 49ers will beat the Rams this weekend is their defensive line. San Francisco’s defensive line has, perhaps, been the most exciting part of the Niners this season. This unit has been absolutely decimating their opponents. Football Outsiders has the Niners D-line ranked as the seventh best in the league this season.
The D-line has been a major factor in the Niners’ victories so far this season, and there is no reason to expect that shouldn’t continue to be the case against the Rams this Sunday.
Rookie EDGE Nick Bosa, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, has been playing great and seems to be only scratching the surface of his potential.
Bosa had his best game yet against the Browns, recording two sacks as he cemented himself in Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield‘s nightmares for years to come.
There is no reason he shouldn’t be about to do the same to Rams QB Jared Goff.
With Bosa leading the way, expect to see the 49ers D-line come up big against the Rams.
