The undefeated San Francisco 49ers head to Los Angeles this Sunday to face the reigning NFC champion Rams. While it should be a close game, here are three reasons why the Niners will remain undefeated after this game.

The San Francisco 49ers have been red hot this season. They currently have the best record in the NFC at 4-0. The Niners seem to be on a path to being a contending team this season. And if they want to be one, they will have to beat the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6.

The Rams are the reigning NFC champions. They have been one of the best teams in the NFL over the past two seasons. While they have appeared vulnerable the past two weeks, though, with losses to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Seattle Seahawks, the Rams are still an elite NFL team.

This is the 49ers’ chance to fully silence all the doubters and prove they are among the NFL’s best. Additionally, this matchup has huge ramifications for the potential NFC playoff picture. The 49ers and the Rams are both in the NFC West, which is the most competitive it has been in years as the Rams, 49ers and the Seahawks all appear to be contending teams.

It is very likely the NFC West divisional title will be decided by one or two wins. Therefore, this matchup is very important, as it could potentially be the tiebreaker for a divisional title. It could be the deciding factor in which teams get a playoff bye or home-field advantage in January.

For those reasons, this game is one of the most important on the 49ers schedule this season.

Here are three reasons why the Niners will emerge victorious this Sunday.
