The Dallas Cowboys already committed a lot of money to running back Ezekiel Elliott, and wide receiver Amari Cooper and quarterback Dak Prescott are next in line.

However Dallas manages its cap situation beyond this season is anyone’s guess, but a likely cap casualty in 2020 will be 2018 Pro Bowl cornerback Byron Jones.

Jones, who is playing on his fifth-year option, is going to command a pretty hefty contract this upcoming offseason. And there’s no way the Cowboys will be able to re-sign him, especially if Cooper and Prescott take precedence.

If Dallas wants to maintain its prowess within the secondary, going after Ohio State cornerback Jeffrey Okudah, who can occupy the boundary duties Jones will leave behind.
