Let’s face it, it’s time for the Tennessee Titans to move on from quarterback Marcus Mariota.

Yes, Mariota answered critics’ questions well enough in Week 4. But the Titans have invested so much in offensive talent around him the past few seasons, and the results haven’t exactly been prolific.

One has to look at the constant, Mariota. If Tennessee elects to stick with Mariota, whose fifth-year option runs out in 2020, the decision will likely propel the team right to where it has been the past few seasons: a middle-of-the-pack, average squad.

Instead, the Titans need to find a new centerpiece for the franchise. Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm is that guy.

Sure, Fromm isn’t as explosive as Tua Tagovailoa. And Fromm might not be as polished as Justin Herbert. But the former is certainly looking like the No. 3 best option in the 2020 NFL Draft class, and the Titans can finally get the key piece they’ve needed for some years now.
