Power ranking 49ers 2019 NFL Draft class after first 3 weeks

Virginia cornerback Tim Harris had an injury-plagued career in college, too. And while he managed to make some appearances for San Francisco during the preseason, the 49ers ultimately decided to save a roster spot and placed Harris on injured reserve with a groin injury.

Harris, the Niners’ final pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, will have his rookie year redshirted. That could be OK, for developmental purposes. And at least the 49ers saw something in Harris to retain him in such a way where other teams wouldn’t be able to grab him.

So far, though, Harris has been a non-factor with the upside of being a long-term depth option in coming years.
