No. 4: Antone Exum Jr.

Antone Exum Jr. achieved career highs in 2018 with a combined 40 tackles, including two for a loss, two quarterback hits and one sack. He had seven passes defended, along with one forced fumble and one of the 49ers’ two interceptions for the season, which he would return for a 32-yard touchdown.

While Exum had a hit-and-miss preseason, he brings with him the versatility of being able to line up in multiple positions. The preseason saw him play at both free and strong safety, as well as linebacker and being utilized heavily on special teams.

Exum brings with him a strong hitting power, and should either Ward or Tartt go down with injury, look for the 49ers to plug Exum in.
