Stock down: Adrian Colbert

Adrian Colbert was one of the players on the field that had a shot at starting Week 1 of the regular season, but Colbert did himself no favors in this contest.

I like Colbert’s aggressiveness, as do most fans. Most fans probably enjoyed the hard hit he leveled during the game.

Unfortunately, the hit came way too late, with the crown of the helmet to boot, and Colbert was ejected from the contest.

It wasn’t helmet-to-helmet contact, so whether or not he actually should have been ejected is another point, but it was just not a smart play by the young safety.

Antone Exum is a safety who actually did play well (not quite enough to get his own slide, but very close), so Colbert needs to rebound quickly.
