3 under-the-radar players who are impressing in 49ers training camp

The San Francisco 49ers have incorporated a lot of lesser-known players this season in camp. Some of these players have managed to stand out and demand attention from teammates, coaches and fans.

Everyone loves to watch the star players, the best of the best, battle it out on the gridiron. Training camp and preseason football is not quite that. August is all about the lesser-known, role players making their case to be one of 53 on the final roster.

In the ultra-competitive NFL, a team is legitimately only as good as its weakest link. This is why training camp can be so rigorous. The San Francisco 49ers are loaded with talent at the top of their roster compared to recent years. However, they will have to develop and maintain depth if they have aspirations into the playoffs and beyond.

By this point in training camp Niners fans are well aware guys like quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and the first-round NFL Draft pick, EDGE Nick Bosa, are performing well.

But this article is about the B-side players. The guys who you may or may not know.

Regardless, they just might have a big impact on whether or not the 49ers have another disappointing season, or are able to live up to their talent and play some January football for the first time since the Jim Harbaugh era of not so long ago.
