No. 5: Jimmy Garoppolo is finally back

Jimmy Garoppolo is finally back!

Fully cleared for 11-on-11 practices, Garoppolo was mixed over the weekend with a strong first day before the defense hit back on Sunday.

While Garoppolo missed on his first two passes on Saturday, he would then hit six in a row. He showed some chemistry with wide receivers Jordan Matthews and Dante Pettis, hitting them with two apiece (the one big stat in preseason for quarterbacks are who they target).

However on Sunday, Garoppolo could only hit 5-of-12 and looked a bit more rusty.

But when you’re out for a significant period of time, these things will happen.

The big indicator for people to look for is which receivers he targets in preseason. Preseason targets are the biggest indicators for chemistry.
