Kicker: Ray Wersching

After spending 11 seasons with the 49ers, kicker Ray Wersching still stands as the team’s leader in field goals and extra points made.

That alone would be reason enough to list him as the greatest kicker the franchise has ever seen.

His performance in Super Bowl XVI would be another reason to place him at the top of the list. In the 49ers first championship game, Wershing went 4 -of-4 on field goals and converted both of his extra-point attempts. He also helped the team to another title in Super Bowl XIX by hitting on five extra-point attempts and going 1-of-1 on field goals.

Honorable mentions: Joe Nedney, Phil Dawson, Robbie Gould
