No. 2: Running Back Tevin Coleman

Matt Breida will be a smart RB2 or FLEX player in deeper leagues. But he’s probably not going to be the 49ers’ best fantasy football weapon on the ground.

And neither Jerick McKinnon.

No, that accolade goes to Tevin Coleman, who thrived under Kyle Shanahan back with the Atlanta Falcons in 2016. That year, Coleman’s dual-threat abilities on the ground and as a pass catcher netted him a solid 941 yards with 11 touchdowns. And that was as a No. 2 option to fellow Falcons running back Devonta Freeman.

If you’re not in a PPR league, Coleman’s value will take a serious hit. If your league is a PPR one, though, Coleman is an excellent pickup in the middle rounds. Currently, his PPR ADP league is 6.11, which means you’ll have an excellent chance at grabbing him as a sleeper.

Shanahan is likely going to favor his former Falcons tailback, giving him an increased number of targets out of the backfield, along with some goal-line opportunities, too.

As long as Coleman stays healthy, he remains one of the best 49ers fantasy options in 2019.
